Prerequisite: Functional understanding of web based technologies, including HTML, and/or website administration experience.

 

Outcome: Specific outcomes can be selected from the 1 day outcomes below by the Customer.

 

 

1.0.25 Website Accessibility for Content Managers and Testers


Duration: 1 Day

 

Prerequisite: Functional understanding of web based technologies, including HTML, and/or website administration experience.

 

Outcome: On completion a participant will be able to:

  • Outline the WA Government Web Accessibility requirements, per the WA Government Website Accessibility Policy.
  • Understand the components of A and AA levels of WCAG 2.0, with an overview of AAA.
  • Apply the Website Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 to their own Agency website to:
    • review and evaluate their own website,
    • determine the level of compliance of a website, and
    • identify issues and recommend solutions/ modifications.
  • Feel competent in the use of and understand the results of a variety of different online evaluation tools, including but not limited to:
    • WCAG 2.0 Compliance tools,
    • colour contrast tools, and
    • screen readers.
