We provide bespoke testing services, tailored to fit the most diverse of needs.
The Web Key IT and Digital Accessibility Centre Accreditation has two levels – Accessible (AA standard) and Gold Accredited (almost AAA standard, in line with the views of the testing team).
All our testing is carried out in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.0. Our accreditation has the end user at it’s heart. Websites were designed for people after all!
Audit and Accreditation Service:
We can provide a full end-to-end audit and accreditation service for your website, intranet, extranet and applications:
Our accreditation audit is robust and delivered through a three stage process:
- An expert manual evaluation to check for those items that can not be evaluated automatically and to validate the accuracy of automated results
- DAC’s experienced team of user testers test the site using a variety of assistive technologies including: screen readers, magnification, voice activated, switch access, keyboard only, pointing devices.
- The Site undergoes technical auditing via an automated process.
We typically test under Microsoft Windows but alternative (including mobile) platforms can also be tested upon request.
Value, Education and Transparency: Our Keywords!
We encourage you to get involved during the auditing of your site. All our clients are welcome to spend a day with our testers during their audit.
This helps clients to understand how assistive technology is used in the real world, and also gives invaluable insight into the limitation of assistive software.
Why not request a captioned video of our team testing your site?
This video can be instrumental in the ongoing training of your content authors and developers.
Our test teams comprise of around 6 to 7 individuals, all of whom have different types of disabilities and most of whom use assistive technology to access computers.
